Importing mydvd projects prior to 7

I have Roxio 10 special addition running in Windows 7 and according to the help I should be able import *.dvd files created with myDVD prior versions.

It seems to import the titles then gives error message import fails. I tried this both from the files on the drive and from the recorded DVD with the same results. Any suggestions.

What software do you really have? You posted in Roxio Creator 2010 forum but state you have something called "Roxio 10". There is no such program so please be accurate in your program name.

 

I have never heard of or come across any files with the "dvd" extension.. With what version of myDVD were they created? It must be a very old Sonic program.

 

PLease give some more details. If these are project files then they are incompatible with any newer version of myDVD.

 

The program I am using is Roxio Creator 2010 Special Edition V 1.2.193 SP1

The fie menu has a selection for import MyDVD files.

The help says it will convert *.dvd files created before My DVD release 7.0

These files were created with MyDVDPlus v6.1 which I know is no longer supported.

 

On one of the attempts I got an error message that mpeg-1 does not support AC3 or PCM audio.

Where in the C2010 help files does it say that it wil "convert *.dvd files"?
