Why did slideshow file size grow when I deleted pix?

I created a 92 page slide show that was too big to email at 11 MB. I eliminated pictures and again set the file to output for email but the file size id now 30 MBs! Prior to doing this I set the file to an mpeg2 file.

 

Does anyone know why the file size grew when I reduced the contents (number of pictures)?

You made it a DVD movie when you set it to mpeg2. And, a very large DVD movie, I might add.

I know that the mpeg2 would be larger but can't figure out why the wmv output was so big given it cam from the dsm file.
