10.0.5 breaks writing .iso image

Question

If I drag VISUALHUMB_DVD.iso onto Toast 10.0.5 I get a message "VISUALHUMB_DVD.iso is in an unsupported format and could not be added". If I mount the image and try writing that way I get all sorts of messages that look like hardware errors from the drive. This is on a MacBook Pro early 2008 running 10.6.2.

If I downgrade to 10.0.4 it all works fine.

I've read some posts where users are able to proceed after clicking okay in some error messages. Roxio has had a bucketful of trouble with updating for Snow Leopard.
