romeodawg
When upgrading from 10.0.4 to 10.0 5? These tiny updates always seem to force a complete re-install and something usually goes wrong... I hope future updates will recognize and smartly update my software's serial. tsantee
On my Mac it hasn't been a problem. The first time I launch the Toast update the setup assistant begins but the registration info is still there. By the way, I usually don't delete the older version of Toast when installing the new one. That is especially good advice now because Roxio is having a lot of trouble getting an update that works with Snow Leopard and doesn't fail in other ways. romeodawg
I just tried to update but the latest version just kept crashing and hanging and not responding... I don't think I'll EVER update this Toast software again.... I don't understand why it's always such a problem. Luckily I was able to save my last version from Time Capsule and restore it. I'm disappointed in the development of this whole suite... it just seems to have been stalled for so long, with no real compelling features - at least on the Mac. The Tivo Transfer workflow takes so many steps, and so much time, I just can't believe it makes sense for people. I wish Apple would buy Roxio and energize this company. Be sure to rename the old Toast application folder before you drag the updated folder into your "Applications" folder. Then when you open the new Toast application for the first time and the window comes up about updating your registration, simply click "continue." If you have registered it once, you do NOT need to do it again.
