Launch Pad - Burn Audio CD's - Quick Find Issues

Heron

Question

When opening BURN AUDIO CD from Launch Pad of Roxio Creator Music 2010

Quick find loading bar shows LOADING and bar appears about 10% complete but does not move from there

and the application fails to continue. Can only be closed using task manager.

Have tried uninstalling and re-installing several times but situation remains showing same status on opening.

(I guess the data file is held somewhere outside of Roxio directory?)

Windows 7 o/s

Personally, for usefulness, I rank Quick Find right up there with a Horn on a Rat

If you want to use it, why don't you open up the Settings (lower left) and reel it in a little to limit where it is looking.

You can also turn it off there so it isn't always searching your drives.

Hi Thanks. Unfortunately it does not allow me to do that - I had already tried it.

It seems to have been corrupted the first time it ran and the data is remainig even after un-installing and re-installing.

I had even tried deleting the directories. Something from the first time I ran (and aborted it) remains.

I agree with you as to its usefulness and will probably never use it but it would be cool to have a program that functions properly!

Once I have solved the issue I will turn it off. If I uncheck the box, it checks itself in again.

Uninstalling and Reinstalling doesn't work with Roxio!!!

There is a Repair option but you have already past any point where that might work!

You need to do the full Clean Install – Vista/Win7

And complete the Prep Steps before starting the install portion – KB Page

Thanks - Tried all that but still same result!!

Will have to ignore that part of the program and use main music disc program which works fine.
