error 8004005 when burning dvd

When I try to burn a dvd in my dvd or my dvd express I get error 80004005, error while encoding menu.

I tried reinstalling roxio xe program to no avail. I recently tried download roxio 2010 but could not get it to run so I removed that program. I have made several still picture dvd's in the past. The drive I have is Lacie and am using windows xe home edition.

You need to do a clean install and remove all traces (especially of the cut-down OEM version you originaly had)
