I have an .mpg file and when I try to add it to Roxio creator 9 I get the error message. The video is from a video camera and is not protected media. The Roxio software I have came with my Dell XPS M1330 laptop. Does the video need to be converted? Why won't Roxio allow me to edit it?

What software package do you really have? You are posting in Creator 2009 forum but state you have Roxio Creator 9. These are 2 different versions, 2 years apart. Also if the program came with your Dell system then its most likely an OEM version which means that its has many features crippled or even missing.

 

How did you get the video from your camera (camcorder?) to your PC? What is the make/model of your camera?
