mistyman1946

Question

Have just installed Roxio Creator 2010 Pro with no problems except that the Bias Soundsoap SE 2.2 will not work with the provided serial number.I have used "zero's" and not the letter "o" in the serial numbers, i have even been on the Bias website and it accepts the serial no. is genuine, yet when i try to authorize the program i get the error message "INVALID CLASS STRING" Can anyone point me in the right direction to overcome this problem ? Any help would be most welcome...Thanks...Dave Evans.

Try re-installing it. Also try using the "other" number provided. In some of the packages, the numbers were marked incorrectly. The string should be in the form of

2 characters-4 chacters-4-4-4-4-1.

Have you tried the alternate authorization string? Did you have another program by Bias? Are you checking the correct product in the authorization window Bias SoundSoap 2.

Unfortunately Bias has the ultimate in challenging authorization procedures.

Thanks Steve for the prompt reply, I have had a Bias product on my computer only last month-you prompted me to try loading this soundsoap software on my wifes laptop...and guess what it went straight on, no problem at all. This proves that something has been left behind from the previous Bias install, i have printed out an article from the Roxio community pages entitled "clean install insructions for Creator 2009 & 2010 on windows 7 and Vista" I'll give that a shot and hopefully that'll do the trick-at least i know it's something on my computer & not a software problem. Thanks very much again for your help...wish me luck at sorting this sucker out...Happy New Year to yourself and your Family...Dave Evans.

The clean instrall procedures will remove only Roxio software; it will have no affect on Bias.

Go to the Sound Soap activation and look to see if one of the programs is authorized. If so, and if you don't want it, unauthorize it. That should allow you to install and activate the newer version.

Try removing the Bias software with Revo Uninstaller if it is still on your computer and the above doesn't work.

Thanks yet again Steve for the prompt reply, the old bias software was so called deleted a couple of days after it was installed. I must admit it was a naughty copy of Roxio creator 2010 pro- i was trying it this way to see if i liked the programs associated with the normal burning/editing software, it was only on my computer for a couple of days, that was in the middle of November, i thought about it for several weeks after trying it & decided to purchase the very good software. I was thinking of using "Hijack this" to get shut of all the old stuff , i have in fact run "Revo uninstaller" on all of the Roxio & Bias software, God knows what will shift it..ah well back to the drawing board....Thanks again..i'll sort something out...there is no real rush to get the soundsoap working...at least everything else seems 100% OK...catch you later Steve...CHEERS....Dave.
