Creatio 10.3

Hello:

Just set up a brand new Dell that already has creator 10.3 installed. is this the current/latest version,as when i check for updates, it tells me that there is an update( 10.3) but when i try to install it, it kicks me out, telling me that it could not find version 10.3 on my computer! The drop down states that it is 10.3. I burned a couple of audio cd's already and it worked fine. Can someone please advise?

The update is only applicable for retail version. The blurb in the software update page says:

 

You must own a valid copy of the full, retail version of Easy Media Creator 10. If you did not purchase a retail copy, this update will not work for any other version of Easy Media Creator.

So exactly what do i have installed on this computer,and how is it different from the retail versions? Will i not be able to do further updates?

It's probable you have Creator 10 DE (a cut down OEM version from Dell)

The 10.3 is a version doctored up to run in Win7…

 

As Daithi mentioned yours is likely a cut down Dell OEM.

 

We have also seen 10.3 as a Win7 Certified version of Roxio "Easy CD & DVD Burning". That is cut down version only found in stores for Retail sales.

 

My pet advice for any and all OEM product is, Dump the Junk!

 

OEM will never fail to disappoint you… Buy a full Retail product and you will never look back!
