RoxMediaDB10 Module has stopped working

tomazzo

Question

Suddenly, I cannot import pictures, or pull up finished slide shows using Roxio Slide Show Assistant. In either case I get a Microsoft Windows Error window that says "RoxMediaDB10 Module has stopped working. Windows can check online for a solution to the problem" there are two choices--check online for a solution and close.

If I am importing pictures when the error comes up, the program looses the pictures that were imported and says no photos in slide show. If I am trying to bring up an existing Slide show, only some of the pictures show up in the file, depending on when the error comes up.

I have tried uninstalling emc 10 according to the instructions on this website, then reinstalled, and get the same result. Has anyone had this problem before?

I am running 32bit vista on my pc. I have used this program many times before with no problems.

Thanks,

Try using VideoWave, the program that should be used for slide shows, instead of the Assistant of any kind. See if you still get the error.

I went into videowave and used create slideshow, which brought up the slideshow assistant, but I was able to get my pictures loaded and saved before the error came up. I have to go thru the slide show assistant because of the "apply pan and scan to all pictures" feature. I like this so much, that I use it on all my slideshows, but have not been able to find it or duplicate it automatically in video wave. I can only find the manual pan and scan icon to set it up in each individual frame.

Thanks for the help.
