This is probably a simple task, but darned if I can figure it out! Thanks to all for the expertise!

zeppelin62702
Unfortunately, it is saved as a Movie Maker Project and does not appear in the select metafile window. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
ggrussell
You need to 'export' it from WMM first. Load your WMM project and then use the 'Save to My Computer' option. For the least amount of problems, select DV AVI. You can then use that file in Videowave or MyDVD.

Kat
Okay Gary, can you help me too? I also have a slideshow I made in Windows Movie Maker. I have already saved it as an AVI file. I have MyDVD 8 Essentials. When I use the Quick DVD menu, click to 'add movie', open my AVI file, the screen just freezes. Why is these happening to me?? Does your computer far exceed the minimum requirements, especially the video card? If not, you will have problems. List you system specs, similar to the way I have in my signature. Kat
Right here. We do meet the minimum requirements and have even added another GB of memory. Every time I click 'Add Movie' The window just freezes. Does it have anything to do with the size of the file? My project is a photo slide show with music. 28 minutes long. 6.5 GB Anything? Anyone? I'm having the exact same problem with a brand new install of MyDVD Essentials 8, also using a .AVI file created by Movie Maker (4.28GB in size). Does anyone know if there's any workaround for this?!?!? The MyDVD software is completely worthless otherwise.

You are adding to a thread that is almost six months old and many people will not see it. You probably have a different computer, different video set up and maybe even a different program. Please start your own thread by going to the top of this board and clicking on new topic. Please put all the information you can think of in that post so that we don't have to guess or do a back and forth conversation in that thread; it takes too long Please add your computer specs to your signature (My Control link and then to the bottom left) . . It will show up in all your posts so you don't have to keep typing it. I forget what company uses a slogan about "Help us help you" but that is true in this case.
