Can I put back EMC7, along with EMC8?

kagey

Question

Since I upgraded to EMC8, I haven't been able to burn files to any manufacturer's CD-R. But I saved the 7.0 version of EMC that I had bought. That always worked fine.

Can I reinstall version 7 (along with version 8) and have both exist in my Dell Dimension 8200 computer at the same time?

That way, I can burn discs with version 7, but still use the added features of Version 8 when I want them.

Any danger in having both versions 7 and 8 installed on my computer at the same time?

Also, how would I go about reinstalling version 7, without erasing version8?

Thanks.

Ken

Other than having Drag to Disc installed from both versions you shouldn't have any problems. I installed 8 then installed 7.5 (both without D2D) and they run fine together for me.

As for your problem, have you updated your firmware on your burner? Can it burn an audio disc with Windows Media Player? Make sure the problem is not the burner before you do anything.
