DVD burning trouble

Sunnydu

Question

I have AVI video files that I have edited on Window Movie Maker. I have Windows XP and installed Roxio software. I'm using the proper disks, etc. to no avail!! I'm at a loss as to what to do. I decided not to use the company I used for the transfer (from 8mm reels), because I was dissatisfied with the results, so I decided to attempt to edit and burn onto DVDs on my own. Ideally I had wanted them before the holidays, but that didn't work out so well. I'm having both some trouble with editing (which I'm working on), but ultimately have been unsuccessful trying to burn onto DVDs, which has disrupted my progress.

I hope someone can help/advise me.

Thanks,

Sunny

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Please forgive my vague post. Basically I have been unable to burn DVDs on my computer, even with the new Roxio software I installed. It tells me that it is not a valid file. Not sure what to do.

Thanks so much - hope you can help/advise.

hello,

Thanks for the info. I downloaded this codec program and as far as I can tell, all of my files are compatible. My AVI files are all from the video store I used to convert my films and my music files are all from

Amazon - legit MP3 files. Please forgive my ignorance. I'm at wits end and not sure what else to do!

Thanks,

Sunny

Where you able to edit the avi files using Windows Movie Maker and output them to DV avi format?
