Roxio Incorrectly Reporting Available DVD Space

jshollis

Question

I have three movies I am wanting to burn to a 4.7GB DVD. When I add the files to burn I am shown by Roxio I have ample space free on my DVD. I proceed with the burn and somewhere along the way the DVD ejects and says I am "x" amount over?

What is going on?? Any ideas guys?

No idea how you are burning the movies to the DVD, not much information in your post.

A 4.7GB DVD can only hold 60 minutes of video at best quality.

This is a screen shot of the files loaded. http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/1338/roxiofile.jpg As you can see it's telling me I have 768MB free yet proceeding with a burn at this point will cause it to terminate stating it's exceeded the amount of space allotted on the DVD.

Did you record those from the Hallmark channel? If you are burning as a data disc, those files should fit on a standard disc.

BTW, you need to get the last 4 movies, in that series. They are good.
