2010 Pro hangs when I click on DVD

I've installed 2010 Pro on my Windows 7 x-64 system. Installation was smooth.Creator will come up cleanly but when I claick on DVD (the only button I've tried) the whole system hangs in a hard hang. Nothing works, not even a ctrl-alt-del. The only option is to power off the PC.

I've installed the fix-pack but that make no difference at all. Very frustrating.

This happens with the Create DVD icon and the Edit Video-Advanced icon. The others seem to work but havent test function yet.

 

Comments??? Solutions??? Where do I go from here???

The first thing to try is update the drivers for your video card. If it is an NVidia card, install an earlier version of drivers.

 

Make sure that you don't have junk programs running in the background, and turn off your anti-virus software.
