tsantee
I don't know what's wrong. Which settings are you using in Popcorn? Are you trying to burn a disc or convert a video? Go to your User>Library>Preferences folder and trash the Popcorn plist file and relaunch to see if that fixes it.

At the bottom left of the Popcorn window you should see a description of your optical drive. Do you see anything listed? You also can see the drive description by choosing Recorder settings from the Recorder menu. Even if something does show, click on it to try selecting it again. I'm not having any issue with this so I'm completely guessing about the cause. I'm wondering if Popcorn isn't recognizing that you have an optical drive connected to your Mac. dougiedd
it is recognizing the optical drive DVD writer maybe it isnt recognizing the blank DVD?
tsantee
it is recognizing the optical drive DVD writer maybe it isnt recognizing the blank DVD? That wouldn't matter. Popcorn opens the Recorder settings window when the red button is clicked. Can you open that window via the Recorder menu? If so, what happens when you click OK after a blank disc is inserted? tsantee
nothing happens at all when i click the button: it seems to click then nada what should happen? It starts the process to burn the disc. Have you trashed and reinstalled Popcorn? Have you downloaded the latest Popcorn 4 update? What you are describing is something I've never seen nor heard about from others.
