I have a sony hdr-xr200 camcorder. Sometimes when I transfer the video files from the camera to the computer using the "import" option in Creator 2009, some of the clips occasionally have no information in them and are blank. In the Media Import there is a small "play" icon that plays the clip just fine in the "available video" field but when I use the "import now" button, it exports to the "recently imported" field but other than the clip number all the other information about the clip is blank. It just doesn't transfer.
The clips are all less then a minute long and will play on the camera playback, on the tv with a connector and in the available video field. All the clips have an icon with picture from the video clip but the one that doesn't transfer only shows a greyed countdown timer icon. It seems to be random. Any thoughts?
One other question, what is the difference in the video files transferred using 2010 verses using 2009? I had downloaded video files using 2010 and went to use them in 2009 and had to convert each one before being able to use it.
