I Can't Get Past the Button Menu

I am a Newbie. I cannot move past the Button/Menu screen. If I click on Movie in the project view and add video clips and then press Preview, it plays the button menu.

The Timeline is greyed out. How do you move to the movie part of the DVD creation after you are happy with the button menu? Help!

This software is not intuitive!

You should first assemble your "movie" using Videowave (Edit-Advanced). and the you should use Create DVD (aka myDVD) to create menus and burn.

 

Please read this Workflow Strategy. It was written for C2009 but applies just as well to C2010.

You are a life saver. Thanks so much. I have not tried it yet, but it makes sense. No wonder I could not get anywhere. I was starting at the end instead of starting at the beginning.

I can't understand why the Roxio literature or users manual did not say anything about workflow.
