Capturing Video Not Working

I purchased the Roxio Easy VHS to DVD package from Best Buy a few days ago.

 

I exceed all the specifications required to run this program. I am running XP home edition. The program is fully installed and the USB thing is recognized by my computer.

 

I've hooked my camcorder up to the USB device, hit Capture Video...and nothing happens. The swirling loading symbol appears, then nothing happens. I've hit Capture Video and then hooked up the camera, same thing. No matter what combination I've tried, the swirling loading symbol appears for a few seconds, then disappears, and nothing happens.

 

Any help is grealy appreciated.

Not sure if you have updated the program for the latest SP, but you might try that and see if it helps. Please note that on the support page for the VHStoDVD program there are two different updates listed (one for Win 7 users and one for other OS's. So be sure and choose the one for your XP.

Tell us what media import screen you see, does yours match the settings in the pics..
