Help! Very frustrated... Burn DVD problems

I have been using Roxio 2010 since the beginning of October without errors until yesterday. When I tried to burn a DVD I was receiving the common Videowave 12 runtime errors. I followed the link to completely uninstall Roxio and reinstalled a clean copy. I even created a new separate user called "roxio" that had admin rights to solely use Roxio. Now, when I try to launch "myDVD" I receive an error that says No permission ot launch application. I have (in the past) successfully burned/created many DVDs. I don't know what has changed or why I can't access this function anymore. Anyone have any suggestions???

Thank you. I've tried deleting the folder and this did not fix the problem. As you can see from my first post, I've already done a clean uninstall and reinstsall, which made my program unusable. ANyone had any success in returning Roxio after you've had it a while? It's a complete waste of money to me now...

You delete the folder specified in the KB article I linked, then you do the Clean Install.

 

You have to follow the instructions.

 

I recommend you Print the Clean Install out.

Take it slow, step-by-step, and skip nothing!

 

You should also know that there is a Repair option through Add/Remove Programs, that should be used rather than uninstall/reinstall.

OK - I'll try it again. I did take it slow yesterday, didn't skip a step and have the clean install instructions printed out. It took almost all day for everything to complete. I also tried the repair option with no luck. But as you have suggested, I will try a complete uninstall and clean install again and see what happens.

Unfortunately, I seem to be going into the downward spiral. Now I can't even uninstall. When I try I get an error code 04C7 and uninstall stops.

Try running REVO Uninstaller in the moderate mode. Make sure you have the option to back up the registry enabled.
