Another Me Too "No Signal"

mjordan

Question

We are also having the problem of the Capture stopping when there is a pause in the tape. Roxio needs to come out with an update if some software does it and some does not. This is just plain bad business if they don't and they have released differing products with no difference in the instructions or the display box.

My question is will the Capture continue to work if you "set the Capture length" to 6 hrs? That is one of the options on the screen when capturing to your hard drive. If that does indeed work than maybe that is what people who have this problem are NOT doing.

I don't believe setting the capture length to 6 hours or 2 hours or 10 minutes has anything to do with the "no signal problem". Capturing 6 hours of tape in one session is a silly idea. It would effectively mean that you would be creating an 80GB avi file  if you wanted to capture at best quality.

The "no signal" problem seems to be more a function of the VHS recorder then the software.

I don't know to what you are referring when you say Roxio have "released differing products with no difference in the instructions or the display box"
