display settings not correct

Navy Chief

Question

I purchased this software and installed it with no problem, however as I go to begin any of the processes (buttons) I get this error:

The current display settings do not meet the minimum requirement for this application. Please change the screen resolution to 1024 x 768 pixels or higher, and the color quality to 16-bit or higher.

I have:

compaq laptop

Vista

currently resolution: 1280 x 720 and 32-bit

I would like for someone to help me with this.

Did I just end up spending $60 for some junk software?

Does that 'bold text' make sense?

Make sure your updated to Sp2, check Help, About This Software, does Sp1 or 2 show in the version #?

So did you even try to change the 720 to 768 as the requirement states?

I wrote down what my control panel said it had 720 and what the software error said 768. Got it fixed. I was hesitant about changing it and figured that what display settings I had were more than enough. Thanks.

Thank myguggi,

I went ahead and tried the change and it appears to work - at least I don't get the error. Will try later today.

Thanks again,
