Breaking up long files

Question

I have read most of the comments regarding large media files (2 hours and 6 hours), and discover that instructions on separating them, into smaller 1 hour pieces, is not clear in my small brain. Is there a way to do this without re entering over 150 hours of raw VHS footage? I had a couple of short ones (1 hour) and the results using Roxio 2010 were awesome.

Thanks for your help

Mike

No not really…

In VideoWave you have the time marks in Timeline view and you can adjust the scale of the view so you can move quickly around.

Launch Videowave and add a 2 hour file. Find the appropriate split point and create a split. Save the project as Full.dmsm. Delete the 2nd half and Output to a new video file at DVD mpeg, best quality. After its done, reload the Full.dmsm project file, delete the 1st half and output again. Of course be sure to give the output file the correct names.
