Plug and Burn

I presume that to get movies of your digital camera and put straight to a dvd you just go to plug and burn. I have tried this but when I got onto page 2 there is nothing under capture device although my computer says that it is plugged in. What am I doing wrong, or is there another way to burn direct from camera without having to have movie menues

You presumed wrong First of all by digital camera, do you mean a "Still" camera or a camcorder?

If camcorder what kind: tape, HD, DVD, HiDef, etc?

 

You will have to supply a few more details. Its not a simple "plug it in and away you go".

BTW, "plug & burn" is not recommended by most experts. One little hiccup and you have another coaster Much better to get the video to your hard drive first and then burn.
