When I first started using the program, it took about 5 seconds after I clicked the "Capture Now" button for the video to reappear and begin capturing. Now it takes at least 25 seconds, which usually cuts off the title of the VHS. Anyone know why it's doing this? Please use beginner computer language, as I am sometimes quite computer illiterate. Thanks.

25 seconds seems long for it begin capturing. Are there any applications running while you are capturing?

 

This is the way I do my capturing from VHS:

-start the VHS playing and hit the Pause button

-then I start the capture and when the video appears in the capture window window I hit the play button on the VHS player

 

This means I might capture a few seconds of "noise" but that can easily be trimmed off.
