Video Wave: How to add Fade Out or Fade To Black?

Lee2010

Question

Hello. I'm new here. 1st post. Sorry if this is in the wrong category, I did my best searching for a solution, and then where to ask, before posting but it's still unclear to me.

Easy Media Creator 10 Suite is what I have (bought circa 2008, maybe 2009). It's not the 2010 edition.

I have completed my video editing in VideoWave. What I need help with, please:

How do I add a "fade out" or a "fade to black" at the end of my video? I added my transitions but I don't see where the Fade Out is located to put at the end. I've searched every button & I'm at a loss. (Not overlays, transitions or video effects or any of the buttons on/around the pane and right clicking on my video doesn't have a "fade out" option like WindowsMM does).

Once I get the fade out I can complete my video. Thanks,

Lee

PS: If you have the info on how to create a "fade in" I'll file that for future use. Thank you.

Thank you very much for prompt reply, I appreciate it.

I understand how to add the dissolve transition (which is what my clips transition with currently). Sorry if this is a dumb question, but where would I click to get a black panel from?

Thank you again.

Jess, I think you meant Storyline view
You're right, Walt. Thanks.

Also try going directly from the end of the video to the transition to the black panel. That will reduce some of the jump from the video to black.
Yes, this should be the sequence rather than the one I posted above. ;)
