Photo Slideshow issues in 2010 / Win7

lowgear

Question

 Using a brand new Win7 HP with Creator 2010 Slideshow Assistant. Instead of showing black behind the slides, you can see the previous slide behind the current slide, and sometimes a slide already shown flashes for a split second before the next slide. Never had this problem with my old WinXP...this has started happening since I upgraded to Win7. I downloaded the Roxio SP1, which the Roxio tech told me should have fixed this problem, but it didn't.

Has anyone else had this problem when trying to create a photo slideshow?

I don't want to use the PhotoShow option because my purpose is to play the slideshows on TV, and I want to add my OWN music that I already have on CDs.

Help please!

Avoid the Slideshow Assistant it is a simplified, dumbed-down program. Use Videowave (Edit -advanced) to create you slideshow and the myDVD (Create DVDs) to authour and burn to DVDs.

You could try to switch the render mode to software (Tools/Options) if now hardware or vice versa.

BTW, if by OWN music you mean music on commercial CDs then you still do not OWN the music. All you bought was the right to play the music.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll follow through.

BTW, I don't understand why Roxio Easy Media Creator includes a dumbed-down program that doesn't work  ???

Thanks again.

Nobody said the Assistant doesn't work - it is just a very simplified program with many features that Videowave has not available.

It works well for those people who want to use it.
