A totally different problem

I am using Windows 7; just purchased and installed Roxio Creator 2010; I have a DVD R/RW drive and a DVD read-only drive; when I put a blank CDV into the writer, and a DVD to be copied into the read-only drive, Roxio Burn appears on my desktop. I want to use the Copy module, but when I opne all programs and click on Creator Classic, it does not start up.

 

 

I am having similar problem but only apps on mine that WILL run are photoshow and the basic burn apps.I tried clean uninstall and installs to the T over and over and tried support which told me to try what i already have done and have given me no answers since.Good luck and if you get it resolved,make sure you post what you did so others can try it.

Then you really need to follow up with Support on this.

 

Make sure your PC meets or exceeds the specs and go back through the Clean Install to make sure you skipped nothing!

 

Then go back to Support and tell them what you have tried and where you are now.

Yeah my pc exceeds specs.I went back through(thanks to your reply and advice to another user in the forums)and followed your clean and reinstall,and regedit instructions perfectly several times .Nothing has worked so far.I'm still waiting to hear back from support.The last message they had me send them the msinfo32 file with all the system info but i haven't heard anything back since Friday.Hopefully i will soon.Doesn't make sense.I'm running Windows 7 Ult.x64,and Roxio was running fine.I did a fresh clean reinstall of Windows and when i tried to reinstall Roxio I now have this problem.I have all recent updates and everything.I apologize to original poster for interrupting post.

That support asked for that file is a very good sign!

 

We have seen some posts from Support here asking a user to delete a specific Key or Keys that are not part of the normal, extensive, Clean Install.

 

So I am hoping they are reviewing and will provide you some specific instructions.

 

I am not much of a fan of RAID... It seems to create almost as many problems as it is supposed to solve We had it at work, but it will never find itself in my home network!

Thanks,I hope so too.I'm confident they'll help me this fixed soon.I've used the different versions of Roxio for a long time and never had any problems before,and i don't think they'll let me continue having this problem.What sort of problems have you had with raids?I've used the stripe config in a couple of builds i've built since 02 i think it is without any problems.I love it,but i guess just thankfully haven't ran into the same problems.

I didn't have any probelm but all of HP's horses and all of HP's men could not resolve issues on 3 of our servers with their RAID arrays and ended upgrading them with Compaq replacements (never could get my head around that one…)
