VideoWave12 Creator 2010 problem when adding text

macaucd

Question

Hi can somebody please help.

Whenever I have more than one video clips in the production editor and try to add 'text' ( using videowave 12 Creator 2010 pro), the systems hangs for 15 or more minutes. No problem if I have only one video clip.

Appreciate any advise.

My processor is AMD Phenon X4 810 6G RAM and 750 G hard drive - lots of memory left.

thanks

Memory is not very important. Free space on hard drive could be but I would think with 750GB you should have some spce left

Video card specs?

How long in time are these video clips? In what format are they?

As I said, your memory is no problem at all.

I forget to ask in my earlier post: exactly what are you doing when you "try to add 'text'"?

Is this problem always with the same clips?

Hi,

I used the 'Add text effect' from the 'Task Pane' at the top left hand corner of the VideoWave to add some words (text) to the internal track like 'Mom's Birthday Party'. Everything works well and fast if I have only one video clip in the 'Production Editor' section (Bottom section) of VideoWave. As soon as I have one more clip - everything I do such as adding the text or moving the text below or even a change of font size takes minimum 15 to 20 minutes. Sometimes part of the screen turns white, sometimes entire screen turns white. I have the problem when I was working with a much bigger video clip. So I decided to do a small one and see whether the problem occurs. It does not occur if I have only one small video clip but if I have 2 or more the problem occurs.

Hope with this info you can help me. I have sento Roxio all kinds of errors messages extract from info32 but today no reply.

thanks again

carlos

Hi,

forget to send you the errors that I mentioned in my earlier reply. Here it is

Any clue? it seems something to do with VideoWave - faulting module :ntdll.dll version 6.1.7600.16385

thanks for the reply. I have done this twice before, even to the point of returning a brand new computer with Intel Dual Core Quad processor thinking that the computer was not fast enough or had problems and bought this new one AMD Phenom II X4 810 to find out that the problem (hang when add text or any click of the mouse such as backspace when adding text) still there. Obviously in my opinion the problem is ROXIO and they have not been able to offer any solution (yet). Quite dissapointing and I am tempting to remove and discard the Roxio Creator 2010 Pro and buy another program.

thanks.

I certainly cannot duplicate the problem you are having nor has anybody else experienced it and posted here.. Of course I don't have you setup nor do I have your source video. I may also not be doing the exact same steps your are doing.

Thanks,

I am not doing anything special other than add text to internal track. No problem if I use only only video clip but as soon as I add another one I have the problem. So far nobody has commented on the HIGH DEFINITION video that I am using (AVCHD). Could this be the problem?

I also notice from the Task Manager under 'Process' VideoWave12.exe*32 has a memory of 328.788K and RoxioCentralFX.exe*32 has 69.906K

I dont know whether this new info will help identify the cause.

thanks again.

Are both videos hidef? Have you tried to add the same video twice and doing a test that way?

I don't think the file sizes in Task Manager have any relevance.

thanks again.

All videos are highdef. I tried everything hoping to be able to isolate the cause and it always come back with the same problem. Everything is find with one small video. As soon as I add another small one or just using one video with 11minutes in length (for a longer video), the problem occurs. Something funny that I did not mention earlier is the screen of the preview are gets bigger and bigger every few minutes that it hangs.

I am at lost as it seems that only me have this problem and I assure you that this is the only program I have added to the PC.

thanks.

carlos
