multiple pictures on one slide

KimK

Question

I have done this before but seemed to have forgotten. I have a blank slide, I have added the text wtih a scrolling text effect - but want several pictures to transition in on that same slide. Eventually I will want to do this with very short vide clips, can someone please tell me how to do this?

Thanks.

Does the word "Overlay" bring up any memories. Click on the image you want to add the overlays to, select Internal track. Click to show hidden tracks in story line add as may overlay tracks that you want. Add the overlay images. Adjust where and how they come into the main track image. Enough?

Yes that does "bring up memories". Thank you for reminding me. However, it appears that you can only add so many overlays (I think 5) BUt I got 2 on, place a third pic on my panel, can see it on the "tracks" but not on the panel, set it for fade in and the program blows up and closes. Ideas?

I sure hope the 2010 version does not do this.

Cannot duplicate your problem in C2010. In fact, even C2009 does not have the problem as far as I know.

You can easily see your added overlays in the time line, the storyline does not show overlays.

When I add overlays I always do it in the Timeline SO i CAN SEE WHAT AND WHERE i AM ADDING.

I can replicate it everytime, I can get it to work, in timeline view I, I add the overlay, it does not show up on the slide but does in timeline, If I click on it in timeline it says there are no properties for that object, so I click the green button to off and back on and then I can get to the overlay, resize and set it to my liking. It's strange. However, I ordered the 2010 version and my only hopes are that my project will be able to opened and finished in the new version.

I don't know if this will help but perhaps will. I am running EMC 9.1 and these comments may not apply to your program.

In Timeline>Click on Show/Hide tracks. You will get a box showing only one overlay permitted. Click on Add Overlay and you will see that you can add up to 5 Overlays. My experience has been that If I don't do this that I will not be able to see the Overlay or I will get the same message as you of No Properties for this object.

In C2010, the overlay track is automatically added as you add the overlay photo/video. You do not need to first "create" an overlay track. You are only notified if you try to add the 6th overlay.
