:) Trying to open a CD of photos from a friend in Europe in .ctf form. How do I change this to jpg or doc or something that will open?

I have never seen that format and found nothing doing a search. Tell your friend to get with the program and give you a CD with a real photo format.

What you don't Google? LOL

MGI Catalog File (CTF)

The CTF format was developed by MGI as a means to store thumbnails for cataloging images and multimedia files. Thumbnails of images can be either 256- or 16-million colors and one of any nine sizes, allowing great flexibility in size vs. quality vs. performance.

Are you sure there isn't anything else on the CD?

I just typed in .ctf file in Search, and nothing, that had to do with photos, came up. That is strange, but knowing me, I probably typed in .cft. :)

As usual, the Knowledge Base Article is somewhat ambiguous about the format; it should be able to open the thumbnails (to view) but doesn't say if it can do anything with it (or if there is a linked full size image). See the last format listed for Photosuite 8.X. .
