Audio Question about Roxio Creator 2010

BNEWMEN

Question

Hello everyone,

I just purchased the Roxio Creator 2010 and im in the process of making a Video/Picture DVD for my business. I am editing everything now and I just got into adding music to the DVD. I noticed that when I add the music it plays fine but you can still hear all the audio from the video clips (people talking and outside noise) I want to be able to just have the music play and none of the audio from the original video clip. Could someone please help me out on this. Im sure it may be a easy task for most but I am limited on time before this project has to be done and I dont have time to be looking for the fix. I have read breifly through the book and found no topics on doing what i need. Thanks anyone that can help!!!!!!

Mute the native audio track. Click on the speaker icon next to the scissor icon to get the volume menu

I want to do just the opposite: I want background music only on photos, and let the native audio play during video clips, with no background music. Is there a way to do this? I can't figure it out.

Thanks

Watch this. Note that audio editing directly on the time line is no longer possible; you have to use the audio editor. Just reduce the volume of the music (all the way) when the video is playing. Or you can have several pieces of music fading in and out wen you transition to the video.

Having the music playing is the background at a low volume may be more interesting than just having the dialog. Try it,
