The first time--yesterday--I burned a blu-ray disc from my Macintosh (Mac Pro Tower, fully updated), all seemed to go well, but when I tried to open files from the disc I got a banner telling me that the file is locked. I opened get info and discovered that the disc was indeed locked but the lock was grayed out so I couldn't open it. Weirdly, I could drag the files onto the desk top, copy them back into the Mac, and then open them.
I am presently burning a new disc of the same contents, only this time, before I burned the disc, I opened get info and unlocked it. Apparently when you insert a black Blu-ray disc (I used a Pioneer 205), the default of the blank disc is locked, so you have to unlock it before you burn it. Does anyone know why this is so, and is there any preference or other setting in toast that can make unlock the default of blank blu-ray discs?
