Brendon Posted February 20, 2010 Report Share Posted February 20, 2010 If the movie has to be encoded or recoded, that part of the operation could easily take 4 or 5 times the duration of the movie, depending on your computer's capabilities. The actual burning of the DVD should take up to a quarter of an hour. You can separate the encoding/recoding from the burning by "burning" [encoding] to an Image or a DVD folder instead of a disc.
