CD\DVD Player hanging after Roxio EMC 9 Install

Hello,

 

I had installed Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 on my XP pc. After this my CD\DVD Player stopped playing - although my DVD burner still works. If I try to go to windows explorer on my CD\DVD Player my whole system hangs.

 

I previously had Sonic Digital Media LE on my PC but I did not uninstall it before I installed the Easy Media Creator 9.

 

Any ideas?

Do you have Drag to Disc installed? If yes, try temporary disabling it by going via MSconfig.

It doesn't seem that I have Drag to Disc installed. I do not see anything in MSconfig or Services that matches this name.

Is there any other service you think I should try to disable or any other suggestion?
