My question is regarding file slack space. The residual data that may reside between the end of a file and the end of a data block on the hard drive or memory. When files are copied from the local hard drive to memory and then to the CD/DVD, how is data from the end of the file to the end of the data block handled? Is there a true end of file mechanism that will only copy data to the end of file only, or is all residual information from either memory or the hard drive copied with the file. Also is there documentation available that specifies the mechanism.
