Roxio Creator 2010 Content does not install

Keith Salmon

Question

I installed Roxio Creator 2010 and rebooted.

Made sure there are no programs in memory (the msconfig routine)

Made sure there were no files in the temp folder (the %temp% routine.)

Made sure ther was enough disk space on drive C; (there is 1.7GB.)

Still error code 000d after unzipping.

Can anyone solve this?

I have been on this problem for 2 days solid and my view is that if you can't release software that works, you have no business selling your product. This issue is not about users tweeking and altering environment parameters, it is about Roxio testing and configuring its product properly like everyone else.

Another example is why does updateudfreader_7 not work?

You're not talking to Roxio Tech Support or Customer Service. You are posting in a users forum, and we are just users, of the software, like you.

And, if you really only have 1.7GB of room, on your C: drive, you don't have enough room to even defrag it, much less be able to install the software and have it work! You need to get a new LARGE capacity hard drive.

If you want to contact Roxio directly, click on Support, at the top of your screen.

Since you have a two step install, you are working from two separate downloads. The disc is a DVD and the program and content installation is one step.

Were you able to open some/all of the applications in Creator 2010?

The first thing would be to determine if the download file is the correct size. I think it is 1,072,764. I have the pro version so it may be different. If it is the size you expected, then unzip it and try installing manually from the folder. Remember no anti-virus running at the time of installation.

How did updateudfreader_7 get into this issue? Is it a GB thing?

What OS and SP are you running? Please post your computer specs.
