Creator 2010 does not recognize Win 7 Screen resolution seetings

RPM99

Question

I recently purchased a Win7 DV7 64 bit, Nvidia GEForce 230M laptop and determined that Creator 6 and 8 were not compatible. Purchased the Creator 2010 special edition and loaded it after tweaking my profile on the new machine. When I tried to import my previous Creator 6 and 8 incomplete work packages, I received a 'Screen resolutions are incorrect for this app. Reset to 1024X768 or higher and increase colors' msg.

Needless to say my Win 7 settings are much higher than those minimums. Roxio tech's only solution was to set up a new profile and load the Creator 2010 package before I did any tweaking to the profile. This appears to have solved the problem. However, now I have to drag all my trip pics and videos over to the new user to do any video/audio editing. Does any

one have experience with this issue and how to solve with the initial user profile?

You should be aware that project files from older Roxio versions are not very compatible with the newest versions if at all. You most likely will have to recreate the projects in C2010.

What are your screen resolution settings?
