I have found that if I'm too impatient with something, it causes problems. When I was running PhotoShop on a 400MHz computer, I walked away for 5 minutes to let it finish loading.

Also, doing a reboot can muck up a program if it isn't already mucked up.

So the first thing that would be needed is a clean install, which isn't quite the same as "uninstall" - it gets out the bits and pieces that Microsoft leaves behind when it "uninstalls".

(Check the post by gi7omy here)

There may be some things that don't quite match because Dell Edition (DE) isn't quite the same as a full Retail Version.

Another option is to use Revo uninstaller in the Moderate mode.

Check this post by sknis.

Once it is cleaned up, use the Dell install disc - it should work, assuming it is EMC 10.3, which (since it's what is used for Easy CD and DVD Burning) is Win 7 compatible. However, if what you downloaded is Easy Media Creator 10 without the .3, it is NOT Win7 compatible, and won't work.

However, it won't have all the features of the Full Easy Media Creator 10.

Lynn

PS - let us know how it goes.
