CinePlayer Sound Issue

s.smith@verizon.net

Question

Hello group, I just purchased Creator 2010 Pro. I installed it on my new laptop and everything seems to work fine, except watching dvd's with CinePlayer, it has great picture, but no sound?? I am very computer litereate and I have tried all the solutions I know. Is there a patch or something to install for Windows 7 or a setting I can't find? The support from Roxio is very poor with no answers. Generally, peer-to-peer always has the best answers.

Thanks,

Steve

Can I assume that you have selected you audio output device in CinePlayer-Tools and that they are enabled in W7. If so, we can go from there.

Thanks sknis for replying. Yes, I have the cineplayer settings set and I assume that W7 is set, I have sound from all other software. I am very good with coputers and I am stuck here. You said let's go from here. Thanks for your help in advance.

I am getting exactly the same problem as Newbie. No sound whenever I try to play a file using Cineplayer but I get accurate sound reproduction when I play any other Roxio product (eg Videowave or Media manager). Like Newbie I have confirmed that the settings in Cineplayer properly reflect my speakers. Anybody out there who can help?

Try this. Put a disc in your drive and open CinePlayer. Start it playing. Left click on the Windows speaker icon on the lower right of your desktop and then on mixer. Do you see a CinePlayer set of icons? Click on the speaker icon to see if you get audio. At this point don't worry about the color of the vertical bar. I yellowed it to highlight the one I mean.
