triton3
Hi Have just bought Creator 2010 Pro and I'm unable to record any audio using 'Record audio from soundcard'. I have an E-mu 0404 PCI soundcard installed and and also have the onboard sound available but can't get any level (Windows XP). When The E-mu DSP is selected in 'Capture from' the word 'sum' appears greyed out in the inputs box. When SoundMAX HD audio (onboard) is selected then several options appear in the inputs box (CD player, stereo mix, line in...) but still nothing. I'm trying this with internet audio and CD playback. I see this topic has been covered before but still can't find any answers. Any help appreciated

Now you have to go into Volume Control settings and select the input (Line In/Mic) for whatever you have got your input source hooked up to on your Sound card. triton3
Fixed it. I'm using SoundMAX as advised but didn't have the recording control panel showing. Have enabled the stereo mix channel and now have levels in Creator. Seems to be bypassing the soundcard completely.I now have a 3.5mm jack to phono to my mixer as well as the soundcard outputs. Thanks for the help.
sknis
Just in case you are interested, the program only works with 16 bit audio cards or ones that will output 16 bit. Your E-MU has: E-MU's 0404 (pci card) delivers an unparalleled level of audio performance to your Mac or PC with premium 24-bit/192kHz A/D. People have the same problem with M-Audio cards. triton3
That makes sense, thanks. The manual states that the 0404 always sends and receives 24-bit audio.
