VHS TO DVD - CREATOR 2010

MISSKATHY

Question

I have Creator 2010 with VHS to DVD. Purchased mainly for the VHS feature. I have the VCR hooked up to PC with Roxio plugs and RCA cord. My VCR unit is not sterio so I needed to put a splitter line in to combine the audio. I can get all the way to "capture now" and it is still grey and I can not complete because "finish" is grey. Not sure what to do. Can you Help?

Squinting real hard between the lines, I am going to guess that you are using Plug & Burn???

Best advice for that is don't;)

Use Capture Video, then you can save your capture and edit it if needed before your burn. You are correct in using the splitter for the Audio signal. That will save you problems later.

Here are 2 posts that should be of help to you:

USB Capture

Plug & Burn

My additional thought would be, if there's no signal coming out of the VCR, then it won't let you start capturing either. Hit the Play button, and see if anything shows up. Once the program detects a signal, then you can start capturing. If what you want to capture starts immediately, then press Play, and immediately Pause it. Now there will be a signal, you can start the capture, and let it play.

Hope that helps.
