I can't install or uninstall Creator 2010 PRO

Question

I have been trying since 2-17-2010 to get Creator 2010 PRO to work for me.

I downloaded it from Roxio and and placed it into a new folder on my desktop. I then extracted the files (3) File 1 gave me the Wizard . But the only options it gives me is REPAIR or REMOVE. I tried removing it and it said "Setup application has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".

I clicked on the REPAIR and it said it was working, but nothing really happened there.

I was able to install file 2 with the Wizard, but when I tried to install file 3 it said "You must install Roxio Creator before installing the content".

The Creator 2010 PRO shows up in Control Panel, but I can't uninstall it. When I try to UNSTALL it, it says "The setup application has stopped working".

When I click on START and for the folder it's not there. When I click on START and do a search it finds it and when I click on the program it only gives me a bunch of dates..like this

10-03-01 07-43

10-03-01 08-00

These would be the times I tried installing the program again.

I have talked to Roxio on the phone and sent E-mails to them, but they haven't proved much information to me.

I have downloaded the program 9 times already and it wouldn't let me do it again. A call to Roxio at least gave me a few more downloads.

I have trued "How to re-download software" "Complete uninstall of Creator 2009 and 2010 (Windows Vista and 7).

At present I am unable to INSTALL or UNINSTALL Creator 2010 PRO.

I am running Vista Home Premium.

I'm not getting the SET-UP menu from the Wizard where you enter the KEY CODES.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bold and large text makes it hard to read ! Also your other post was moved here. Please post only once.

So we can communicate better, please post your computer experience. We don't want to talk over your head nor do we want to treat you as if you know nothing about computers.

If you go to Windows - Start -Programs. Do you see a listing for Roxio or Roxio Pro or other Roxio or Sonic in the list? If you click on it, do you see a bar for Applications?

Please post your computer specs including your video card/chip. Are you sure you meet the minimum requirements?

At this point, I think your best bet is to use the second recommendation that Roxio gave you. A clean install - get someone to help. Print off the directions and follow them along as you do each step. Be careful in editing your registry because you can really screw up your computer if you are not careful.

Talk to Roxio directly via phone about getting the download reset. They will not charge you for help with the installation.
