gesymsb
Happy New Year to all. Well if some you remember last week I post about my new Ati card and the Capture program from EMC 7.5, I try whatever, including the latest drivers from ATI for my new "All In Wondwer 2006 Version" ( 9600 based ) video card, and still the same. Only ATI Video IN ( TV ) and capture video, nor Roxio's Capture or the AMPCAP works with this card. For now until I finish a video - dvd that I am making, I put back my old Ati Rage Fury Pro. Everything works perfect with my old card. So now the question is, I love EMC 7.5, the only thing is the capture program. Is there any other Capture Program that I can use, so I can use my EMC and new video card ? That TV program from ATI is not that good for capturing videos, I like something more pro like the Roxio's EMC Capture. Thanks

You can try some 'freebies' on the net but you won't get much control out of them. V8 has seen some improvement but I don't believe you're in luck with your card. dbrohm
I had nothing but trouble with my ATI TV wonder I bought to capture. I spent $80 in LD calls to CAnada to try to get suppport from ATI with no success. I returned it to the store and bought a Hauppauge Win TV capture card, great support, great software. My reason for being here today is that Out of the blue, Roxio EMC7, DVD BUILDER, & VIDEO WAVE stopped working. Other apps in the suite, incl Creator Classic, work ok. When I start any of the two, the splash screen comes up, hangs ahort time, goes away, and nothing else happens. PC does not lock up. I tried system restore, to a point where it worked, no help. Uninstalled EMC7, rebooted, reinstalled. Same problem. Rest of PC is fine. Scanned for viruses and spyware, nothing found. I'm ready to jump to Nero? Larry
Try the following and see if that helps: Removing the existing Media Manager database so it can be rebuilt a. Close all open applications, especially Roxio applications b. Open 'my computer' c. Double click on the 'C:' drive and browse to 'C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Roxio' where 'USERNAME' is the name of the user you are currently logged in as. d. Right click on the 'MediaManager' folder and choose rename e. Call the folder 'MediaManager.old' f. Now try
gesymsb
ATI has a support website with a knowledgebase that might help you. It's at www.ati.com. I went there before start posting here, this is a new card from ATI I even got the latest drivers, NADA, noway to get Roxio's capture to work with this new all in wonder ati card. On the other hand my old Rage Fury Pro, works perfect with Roxio.

The ATI Card comes with the Pinnacle Studio "Special Version for ATI " Before I bough EMC, I tryed that Pinnacle Studio and all I got was crashes p;is more crashes. I dont know how the new one is, but I using EMC, I like it, and dont need any other program. With EMC you dont only do Videos but many other things, so I will not put it to the side because a video card. If I cant find a capture, I will buy another video card / capture card that is compatible with EMC, does anyone knows an email for ATI, I will like to write them, and let them know that, as right now, their card had been a waist of money. Happy New Year to all.
Well if some you remember last week I post about my new Ati card and the Capture program
from EMC 7.5, I try whatever, including the latest drivers from ATI for my new
"All In Wondwer 2006 Version" ( 9600 based ) video card, and still the same.
Only ATI Video IN ( TV ) and capture video, nor Roxio's Capture or the AMPCAP works
with this card.
For now until I finish a video - dvd that I am making, I put back my old Ati Rage Fury Pro.
Everything works perfect with my old card.
So now the question is, I love EMC 7.5, the only thing is the capture program.
Is there any other Capture Program that I can use, so I can use my EMC and new
video card ?
That TV program from ATI is not that good for capturing videos, I like something
more pro like the Roxio's EMC Capture.
Thanks
