AVI file (movie) to DVD

Question

I've been searching all over the forum trying to figure out how exactly do I burn an AVI movie with audio and video, to a dvd player?

When I click on convert I'm given the options of dv,hdv, h.264 player, quicktime movie or mpeg-4 ? Which one do I use to convert the file to DVD format so it can be burned? Or is this not possible with Toast 10 ?

Choose DVD video in the Video window. Don't use the Convert window. Since your source is .avi then also be sure you've installed the perian codec available from perian.org. This prevents a loss of audio if the source .avi has Dolby Digital (ac-3) audio.
