If you "bought this product last year", I'm wondering if you actually have EC/DVDC 6, which is over 5 years old.

It is possible you bought it used (or the re-issue as Easy CD and DVD Burning in the Red Box on sale as a store cleared out old stock), but it is possible you have a newer Version. Could you please double-check which Version you have?

I have looked and there is no Version number...the install disc says it was made in 2008....I downloaded the new upgrade but it said I already had all the new ones..........The only thing I can see is that it says Roxio Central 4 made for Windows XP & Vista.......I have it on both and it works the same...sound is not in sync......I have checked the sound on both computer and they are working fine.........I think the device is faulty

Of course there is a version number.

Launch the program click on the Help menu item and then About

If you are running XP then you can use Windows Movie Maker to capture VHS video from your analog camcorder or VHS recorder. Do you have the same sync problem there?

To what format are you capturing, avi or mpeg2? Are you running any other apps while capturing

What are your system specs?

BTW, there is no need to capture video from a DVD. You simply copy the Video_TS folder to you hard drive and add the video in Videowave or myDVD.
