Low audio output from transfering audio from LPs

trilylem

Question

I connect my turntable directly to my laptop through USB Audio Device. The audio output of the finished recording is minimal. It's ok transferring and recording VHS tape, the audio ouput of the finished video recording is acceptable. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Sure.

Hook the Phone up to your turntable and then set the receiver just like you were going to tape whatever is playing on the turntable.

Hook your Tape outs to the USB device.

Thanks, it works....my connection is to Phono Input and Tape/Rec Output

Correct! Your turntable requires pre-amp of some sort, before it reaches the USB Capture device…

Some of the other regulars here will have some suggestions to get you around this.
