Blue Ray Verification fails...but seems ok?

8string

Question

Is anyone else experiencing verification failure of Blue Ray disks? It seems like the disk was written to ok, but verification failed at 81%. The video files play fine (I was writing raw AVCHD data as backup from my hard disk, not from the camera). It was simply a file transfer as far as Toast would have been concerned. A second disk (not read writeable) worked just fine.

What's folks thoughts on Blue Ray disks? Are you experiencing higher than normal failure rates?

Which brand of BD-R, burner, and type of Mac are you using? I've used Verbatim and Ritek BD-Rs successfully. I can't remember any problems with those brands during burn/verification. I do remember having problems with with Philips BD-Rs. It's been a while, but I either had errors during burn or failed verification with Philips. I have LG internal burner on Mac Pro (Intel).
