Golfer1
Am using Toast 10 for first time to edit a video downloaded with EyeTV. Have finished setting clip points but have not found the location of "DONE" which the Manual states you should use when finished. Where?????? tsantee
There no longer is a done button. What I do is choose save and leave or quit the player. You'll see that the time length for the video in the Toast window now shows that is is shortened. There is no actual edit to the source video. Toast just knows to exclude the marked segments in the DVD or conversion. In this way it is faster and safer than using EyeTV's built in editor. Golfer1
Thank you, but my purpose was to edit for Conversion to the iPod Touch format. On my last try it seemed that the Editor only processes for use in creating a DVD. At least I was unable to find a way to do the conversion after the edit was finished. I have using a Mac since 1984 and have usually been able to figure most programs on my own, but I must admit this change from the original editing program on EyeTv is not as simple and as direct, but then life goes on. It works with conversions, too. Select EyeTV in the Toast Media Browser. Choose Video Files in the Convert window. Select your EyeTV title in the browser and add it to the convert window. Click Edit and then click Edit again in the window that appears. This launches the Toast Video Player/Editor. If the editor panel doesn't appear at the bottom select Choose Editor from the View menu. Mark the segments you want to remove. Choose Save and the video in the Toast Convert window should now display a reduced length in time.
