1) I was wondering if you get the capability to fully customize the BD mpg2 &/or AVC formats, rather than being stuck with the existing templates with set bit rates, fps etc?
2) I was also wondering if after installing the plugin, MyDVD Blu Ray [bD] encoding uses ATI Stream like VideoWave? Or if you have to install the plugin to get BD encoding working properly in Videowave?
I'll probably be using Sony DVDA to author video recorded in win7 Media Center to Blu Ray on DVD or BD -- nothing wrong with MyDVD but I need subtitles. The Sony encoder is slooowwww however -- much slower than encoding to the BD templates in Videowave that use ATI Stream.
Without the plugin MyDVD will encode compliant AVC [according to Sony DVDA], but not the Video Converter, & not Videowave -- I don't know if the Roxio encoded files actually match specs or not, since I can't create a Blu Ray layout to test without the plugin. Creating an AVCHD disc layout, MyDVD does re-encode Videowave AVC created with the BD templates, so maybe not?
